Our Projekt „Flamencoferien“ started in May 1996. In May 2016 we had our 20th birthday and we made a big party with guests from Jerez.
Bolonia is like a small paradise. The owners from the Hostal are very kind and you can feel like being at home. The beach is wonderful, it´s a great place to be on holidays. Los Jerezanos love Flamenco and they enjoy singing.
The teachers from Berlin, the South of France and Jerez are really interested in sharing their knowledge about this wonderful art of Flamenco. In the evening, everybody enjoys dancing and singing, sometimes very late, because the nights are beautiful on the seaside.
These last years, we´ve had students from many different countries , from Germany, of course, but also from Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Ireland, Spain and even from Australia.
Sometimes the courses and the single rooms are very fast booked; before you announce yourselve, inquire please!

We normally have dinner together at 21:30. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requests.
Students should arrive on Tuesday for dinner. Classes begin on Wednesday Week One and continue until Thursday Week 2. The course concludes with a party on Thursday evening.
south-west coast of Andalusia
Bolonia is a quiet, rustic fishing village on the Costa de la Luz, Cadiz, to the west of Gibraltar. Famous for its Roman ruins, Bolonia was called Baelo Claudia when it was a Roman town, which specialised in making a fish sauce which was sent around the Empire. The Atlantic beaches of this area are long and sandy, with crystalline water. On a clear day, you can see the coast of Morocco, just fifteen kilometers away.
Outside of the busy season of July and August, the beach is practically deserted. When the eastern wind, the “Levante” blows, wind and kitesurfers descend to the beaches around this area.
is situated right on the beach. All the double and triple bedrooms are en-suite and have a small terrace. The two single bedrooms are also en-suite, but do not have a terrace.
The hostal has a restaurant with an outdoor terrace which overlooks a garden and the beach. There is a big swimming pool with seawater.
The dance studio where classes are held has a conditioned wooden floor, a mirrored wall and windows with sea views. The owners of the hostel are Ito, his wife Yoli and their two children. The cuisine is typical Andalusian fare with bean, lentil and chickpea stews and, of course, fresh fish from the waters of Bolonia.

Not just Bolonia is wonderful, there are many others interestings places in the surrounding, for example
– The Rock of Gibraltar, covered by a nature reserve, which is home to around 250 Barbary Macaques, commonly known as “apes”.
– Tarifa , a little fishing town with his Moorish Style is the southern most tip of Europe where the Med. meets the Atlantic. Tarifa is a true surfers paradise and his wild coastline and unspoilt countryside attracts surfers and nature lovers alike. Just as famous for its birdwatching , horse-riding, kite-surfing or dolphins and whale-watching.
In the old town there is a wonderful old indoor market and many tapas bars, restaurants and pubs.
The two nearest airports are Malaga (220km) and Jerez (120km). Buses go from both cities to Tarifa, and from there, you can take a taxi to Bolonia, a fifteen minute journey, approximately. A driver service may also be offered from either airport – please enquire about this.
Please let us know your travel arrangements as soon as possible.
